Richard Hammond Bit of an enigma this one- slid out under the radar on limited edition on Grassow’s bandcamp page (although he doesn’t claim it as part of his discography). Another example of the convoluted, tangled back catalogues of these drone titans- easy to overlook this one. It is however well worth a listen- high quality deep ambient with some delightful nature sounds....

about

These mixtures, which were made together with Klaus Wiese around the year 2000 in Munich, contain many elements of the two QUMRA cassettes. Upgraded by single new tracks, originally 5 pieces were created that were never released and originally intended to be released as a follow-up album to MERCURIUS.
Unfortunately the 5th one is irrecoverably lost. That is one of several reasons, that these sessions should not be withheld any longer and currently only limitedly available until the end of the year as they are not actually part of my discography.
The recordings were neither edited nor smoothed out in order not to falsify the original spirit as much as possible. That was Klaus's way of working.....
and I am learning and teaching these further.....
