"Fragrance of eternal roses' - the title is connected to sweet new-age music, but also to the importance of fragrances in oriental culture....and....like a flower grows slowly, the music develops from ground to the heart and mind. This album mainly was played with analogue synths - warm, bright, shiny....with a smooth but strong focus inside....
2nd re-release planned for 2019 !
released December 12, 2017
Composed and performed by Mathias Grassow between 1989 and 1998.
Overdubs and refreshment made in 1998.
Mixdown at AKROASIS-STUDIO, May 1998.

Additional up-right and singing-bowl sounds on track 5 by Klause Wiese.

Now THIS is the ultimate Christmas-gift..! Deep, soothing, comforting, and above all: classic Steve! This will be on repeat a lot.. Hopefully this will come as a CD/vinyl-release as well! Thanks Steve and best wishes from the heart. Berkdrums

Steve Roach's music generally falls into a number of sonic themes. There's his "earthly" side, which often involves rhythms with synths or drums. There's his "inner space" side, which is more abstract in feel. Eclipse Mix is an example of his "outer space" side, where the feel is more celestial. The phrase that comes to mind here is "heavy luminescence". It gets surprisingly intense at times and works as both foreground and background music. fyeahmetal
