IN SEARCH OF SANITY is dedicated to the spirit of the Slieve League cliffs and the famine village of Port in County Donegal/ireland. As these compositions are also tales about searching sanity by the way of lonelyness and hermitage I made the work in silent honour of the monks of Skellog Michael.
All sounds are composed, played, arranged and recorded by Mathias Grassow between 1992 and 1993, except "Conjuration" and "Troubles", wich are composed and played by mathias Grassow and Aman.
released March 27, 2017
Mathias Grassow: all electronic equipment, flutes, voices, percussion and effects, programming.
Aman; digeridoo on tracks 2 and 3.
Many thanks to Klause Wiese and Ted de Jong for some basicrecordings on track 1.
Note: The sound of this work is different from normal productions: you hear deep basses and earthen drums, combined with filigree trebles and noises (e.g. crickets) in the background, this, and many other sounds, are intended so. Its importent, to hear the music no too loud!
"In search of sanity" was recorded by courtesy of KOHA-music, Munich, Germany.

I missed out on the original 3'' Amplexus CD, so it's great to have this expanded release. Every track is great and fits well together with the original piece. I like Nerell's work a lot and wish he would put out albums more frequently. This is up there with Lilin Dewa as some of the best material I've heard from him. patient_ot
